Tommy Robinson Gets Convicted of Harassing Journalists in London
Robinson, whose legal name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and who is 43, faced two charges alleging harassment that caused fear of violence against two men in connection with incidents in 2024.
The allegations involved Andrew Young, an investigative journalist, and Jacob Dirnhuber, an editor at the Daily Mail and MailOnline.
A jury at Southwark Crown Court reached a guilty verdict by a majority of 10 to two, according to reports.
Robinson had denied the allegations when he appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in 2025.
Social Media Posts, Messages
The case centered on two allegations of harassment through the US-based social media platform X between August 5 and 7, 2024, which prosecutors said caused the journalists to fear violence.
The charges also included an alleged telephone conversation on August 5, during which Robinson was accused of threatening to visit Young’s home and saying: “I’m coming to get you.”
In a direct message allegedly sent to Dirnhuber through X on the same day, Robinson was accused of writing: “I’ll be knocking at your door.”
