Casa Teresa to Celebrate 50 Years of Impact at Milestone Anniversary Gala

Casa Teresa celebrates 50 years of providing a home with a heart to pregnant women in crisis at its milestone anniversary gala on October 24, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.
October 24 celebration at Hyatt Regency Irvine will honor generations of courageous mothers and raise critical funds for Casa Teresa’s life-changing programs
The milestone evening will celebrate the courage and resilience of generations of Casa Teresa mothers while recognizing the volunteers, staff members, donors, and community partners who have helped families grow, heal, and flourish throughout the organization’s 50-year history.
Proceeds from Casa Teresa’s largest annual fundraising event will directly support its residential programs and wraparound services, which help women transition toward greater independence and create safe, stable futures for themselves and their children. Casa Teresa has set a goal of raising $250,000 through this year’s anniversary celebration.
“For 50 years, Casa Teresa has been a place where women facing extraordinarily difficult circumstances have found safety, compassion, hope, and the opportunity to transform their lives,” said Lisa Wood, Chief Executive Officer of Casa Teresa. “This anniversary is not only a celebration of how far we have come - it is a tribute to the courageous mothers who have walked through our doors and to the community that continues to believe in them. Together, we are building a legacy of lasting change for generations to come.”
Founded in 1976 by Neill and Sally Sullivan, Casa Teresa began as an eight-unit building and cottage created to serve pregnant women who were alone and without support. The organization later moved to its current Orange location and expanded its services to meet the changing needs of pregnant women and their children.
Today, Casa Teresa offers five residential programs, shelter and basic necessities, individualized case management, education, parenting and life-skills classes, career development, therapeutic support, and other resources designed to help women heal, break cycles of homelessness and addiction, and become self-reliant.
In its most recent annual report, Casa Teresa shared that it served 157 women, children, and babies, while also providing continued support to 208 alumnae. The 50th Anniversary Gala will help ensure these essential programs remain available to vulnerable women and their babies for the next 50 years.
Guests attending the gala will come together for an inspiring evening celebrating Casa Teresa’s history, the women whose lives have been transformed, and the supporters who have made that work possible.
